Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Movyneo (“the app”) is developed and published by Burak Akbay (“we”, “us”). This policy explains how the app handles information. It applies to the Movyneo iOS app and to this website.

2. Data we collect

We collect nothing. Specifically, the app does not:

• require an account, email address, name or phone number;
• contain analytics, telemetry, crash-reporting or attribution SDKs;
• contain advertising or use any advertising identifier (IDFA);
• track you across apps or websites;
• make any network request whatsoever — the app has no networking code.

Because of this, we have no ability to identify you, contact you, or link any activity back to you. There is no database of users, because there are no user records.

3. Data stored on your device

Everything you record — meals, weight, workouts, water, photos, goals and settings — is stored locally on your device, inside the app's private storage area. This data is:

• included in your normal encrypted iPhone or iCloud device backup, under your control and Apple's terms;
• protected by iOS file protection, so it cannot be read while the device is locked and has never been unlocked since restart;
• permanently deleted when you delete the app.

Progress photos receive an additional layer: they are encrypted with a key held in the device Keychain and are excluded from backups.

4. Apple Health (HealthKit)

If you grant permission, the app reads activity data (steps, active and resting energy, workouts, sleep, weight) from Apple Health, and can write back the meals, water and workouts you record. This exchange happens entirely on your device, between the app and the Health app.

We never receive this data. Health data is never used for advertising or marketing, never sold, and never shared with any third party. You can revoke access at any time in Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices, and the app keeps working without it.

5. Camera, microphone and photos

• Camera — used for barcode scanning and reading nutrition labels. Frames are processed live on device and are not stored or transmitted.
• Microphone and speech recognition — used for voice logging. Recognition is forced to run on device (on-device recognition required); no audio is ever sent to Apple's servers or to us.
• Photo library — only the specific photos you choose are read, to attach to a meal or a progress entry. They are copied into the app's private storage and never uploaded.

Each permission is requested only when you first use the feature that needs it, and each feature can be skipped entirely.

6. Purchases

Premium subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not see, receive or store your payment details. The app asks Apple whether an active subscription exists and receives a yes-or-no answer; that check happens through Apple's own StoreKit framework on your device.

Apple's own handling of purchase and account data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. We may see anonymous, aggregated sales statistics in App Store Connect (for example, “12 subscriptions in Germany this month”). These cannot be linked to an individual.

7. This website

This site is a set of static pages hosted on Cloudflare Pages. It sets no cookies, embeds no trackers, and loads no third-party scripts or fonts. Our host processes standard server request logs (such as IP address and user agent) for security and abuse prevention, as described in Cloudflare's privacy policy. We do not have access to any analytics about you.

8. Children

Movyneo is not directed at children under 13, and calorie tracking is not appropriate for young children without professional supervision. Since we collect no data at all, we do not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children.

9. Your rights

Regulations such as the GDPR and CCPA give you rights to access, correct, export and delete your personal data. In practice, because we hold nothing:

• Access and portability — export everything yourself from Profile → Export my data (three CSV files) or generate a PDF report;
• Correction — edit or delete any entry directly in the app;
• Erasure — deleting the app removes all of it. We hold no copy to erase;
• Objection to sale — we do not sell data. There is nothing to sell.

10. Changes to this policy

If a future version of the app introduces a feature that requires sending data anywhere — for example optional cloud sync — this policy will be updated before that version ships, the change will be described plainly here, and the feature will be opt-in. The “last updated” date at the top always reflects the current version.
